Elland born Sally Wainwright’s latest offering to hit our screens has made a big impact to Tuesday night TV viewing. ‘Happy Valley’ is a gritty drama starring Sarah Lancashire and Siobhan Finneran amongst other high profile British actors. It was filmed in Sowerby Bridge and Ripponden amongst other locations and I am sure that just like in our house you play the same game of trying to spot where the location is  whenever a beautiful landscape shot hits the screen. The series has finished now but get onto BBC iplayer to catch up. Be warned, it is broadcast after the 9 o’clock watershed for a reason and some scenes are suitable only for adults.
